Are you scrambling to establish an online presence? Would you like to know how to successfully leverage digital marketing to grow your brand?
While there’s no one-size fits all solution, there are proven strategies that can help you monetize your efforts.
Because let’s face it. All the likes, retweets and plus ones don’t mean a thing if they aren’t generating results.
The challenge for most companies is understanding how to capitalize on all that digital and social marketing have to offer.
I recently sat down with Imagine WOW Chief Inspiration Officer, Sabrina Gibson to discuss how companies (no matter the size) can dive in and harness it’s power.
How to Leverage Digital Marketing
Tell me how you earned the right to be an expert in social media?
I don’t know that I’d call myself so much an expert as much as I would an enthusiastic connoisseur of all things social media. I have been an entrepreneur for as long as I can remember and in marketing for going close to twenty years.
I’m deeply passionate about taking all of the delicious goodness that’s within a business, brand, or entrepreneur, and helping them pull that out and shine a spotlight on all of that for the world to see.
Companies are having a hard time differentiating themselves in the market place. How are you helping them find their voice?
Fear is the biggest hurdle most businesses face. It’s the fear of the unknown. What will happen if I take my business online, what are people talking about, what are they saying about me, and how am I going to control that conversation?
I eradicate that fear by coming in and offering deep insight into the how, what, why, and when of social media strategy. Doing that is eye-opening and basically hands them the keys to the kingdom where all of a sudden anything and everything is possible.
Many people are missing opportunities around conversation that they can naturally leverage. Can you talk about brand enthusiasts and how that might help a company?
Allowing other people to enthusiastically talk about you your business, product or service is an incredible way to share your brand story through people who are enthusiastic about you.
Sabrina, you talk a lot about third party edification and that is what brand ambassadors or raving fans is really all about. It’s taking those people that have been through your system, have used your product, and have become excited about spreading their love of your brand across social media.
Think about what leveraging these people could do for any business? Here’s a group that’s already out there actively talking about you. Now empower them to spread that message with those looking for what you have to offer. Very powerful!
What’s one tip that you can share with a company that is either looking to accelerate their efforts online or even just begin a new campaign online with their social media?
The biggest piece of advice I can give is — just do it. Whether you’re getting started or rolling out a new campaign, just get out there and stop waiting until tomorrow to pull the trigger.
Potential clients are online and they’re actively searching for whatever it is you have to offer. If you’re not leveraging all the tools available to you to get you your product or service in the palm of their hand and making it easy for them to connect with you, your competition is.
Every day you wait is another day they zoom ahead.
What do you want to be known for?
What is your unique selling point and special skills?
List your top three unique-abilities and add them to your social profiles in a conversational way.
